1981年にアメリカで結成されたスラッシュ・メタル・バンドのダーク・エンジェルは、92年の解散後には、ドラマーのジーン・ホグランがその凄腕を認められ、デスやテスタメントなどで活躍したことでも知られている。メンバー交代はあったものの、残した5作品のサウンドは全て同じ路線で、その攻撃的なリフ・サウンドは美しささえ感じることができる。このライブは初期と末期のライブを2本、共にサウンドボード収録でカップリングしたもの。1stアルバムの『We Have Arrived』から最後の4thアルバム『Time Does Not Heal』からのベストな選曲はファンにとっても大満足。バンド解散後、何度か再結成はしているダーク・エンジェルの全盛期を納めた高音質ライブは、スラッシュ・ファンにとってもマスト・アイテムです。
